My Students

I teach in a rural Title I school. Every year I have 20-24 students that are eager to learn. Our classroom is full of hands-on interactive lessons that allow the students to have experiences they otherwise would not get. Students come to school each day excited to see what our class has in store for them. I love to see their passion for learning. Learning is an opportunity for them, not a chore. With this mindset in my classroom students are able to meet and often exceed their personal educational goals for the year!

My Project

Classrooms should be full of students interacing either each other in order to further their education. Often times with small children one voice is hard to hear over 20+ students moving about. With a sound system in the classroom there is not one spot in the room that is better for learning. Students need to be able to be engaged in the lessons no matter how far or close they are to the teacher. A sound system gives all students equal learning opportunities. With the sound system, student engagement also goes up when students are sharing with their peers. No more straining to hear what their friends say when reading/speaking in front of a group. Students that usually mumble can now be heard by those friends!
