I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.

Our school has almost 350 students, PK-8, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, so I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they have learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape! Help me help them, so we end the trend towards childhood obesity!

My Project

We need a wireless headset microphone so they can hear. There are times we get so into an activity it is hard to hear instructions. Having a wireless microphone in the gym will help the students better hear instructions. There are times we are doing stations and I need to correct someone on the other side of the gym. It is hard for them to hear me and tough on my voice. With the wireless microphone this will help with safety and assure that all the students can hear me.

Your donation to this project will help over 350 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity.

With your help, we can get our students on the right track to start their own fitness program. Students will benefit from this program for many years to come. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future.
