My Students
My students are faced with many environmental challenges. Motivation to come to school is difficult and motivating my students to learn is even more challenging. Technology allows my students another avenue of learning that is motivating. Technology reaches all students at all levels.
Many challenges face my students as they get up every morning.
Motivation to come to school and motivation to learn are low as my students begin each day but as they arrive you can see their hearts and minds open up to the possibilities of learning. As I provide a stimulating and enriching environment for my students, one tool that seems to motivate my students is the use of technology. Using technology increases the motivation and engagement in learning. Technology allows me to further differentiate my lessons to meet the needs of all of my students.
My Project
In my classroom, I am lucky enough to have a few desktop computers for the students to use. There are so many great free programs to use on the web that will motivate my students to love learning, but they are unable to hear what is being said due to the lack of headphones. Providing 20 headphones will extend the learning that technology provides and enrich the learning that will take place within my classroom.
My students are amazing!
They persevere through many situations to come to school but often lack motivation to get the most out of their learning experiences. Having headphones will make a huge difference in the way I use technology in my classroom. Students will be able to hear each activity and become fully engaged in the learning process. Using technology is highly motivating to many of my students and I believe that using technology may reach those who might be otherwise unreachable.
