Whiteboards are used all morning in my classroom. Students are responding to UFLI by writing concept words, irregular/sight words and dictated sentences. We also use them during small group intervention time, repeating some of the same things we did in large group in the morning. They are also using them in Math class to show how they solved a problem. Everyone gets to answer the problems without anyone shouting out an answer. I get to see what they were thinking and help them adjust their answer with some quick feedback. My goals for this project is to use less paper/pencil with things that do not need to be permanent. This is a quick way to assess students with no worried. Students can easily erase their answer and try again. What makes my students specials is I have seen the difference using Whiteboards can make and students are more likely to take the risk and participate because it is not permanent.
The headphones will be used all day for listening to phonics ,reading, math, science and social studies.
Students will be able to have subjects read to them, listen to assignments they have missed, do interactive assignments and work in their programs at their own pace.
