Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of 8-9 year olds at a Title I school. The majority of my students come from lower-income homes. Additionally, I teach many English Language Learners whose families speak mostly Spanish at home.

Due to these circumstances, most of my students do not have much experience with the internet or technology at home.

Very few of them get the chance to use technology outside of school. My students love learning new things, so I try to incorporate technology as often as possible in our classroom!

My Project

I try to incorporate technology in the classroom frequently. We do a lot of work on iPads, Laptops, and the Interactive Board.

I want my students to be familiar with these tools so that they can be successful in a 21st century society where technology is always evolving.

I am hoping to use these headphones to support my students during their individualized lessons. I use various computer programs that adapt to my students' individual needs.

This means that in a classroom of 25 students on laptops/iPads, 25 different lessons are being played at the same time. Headphones would help my students concentrate on their personal tasks without being distracted by their neighbor's lesson.
