My Students

I serve a diverse group of students from North Charleston, South Carolina. We also have a high population of students whose first language is one other than English. We strive daily to meet the individual needs of each student and provide a nurturing environment in which all students can succeed.

My school is a low-income Title I school and our students rely on us to provide many of their basic needs in addition to their education.

They are eager to learn and are students who are hungry for growth.

My Project

These headphones will help my class in more than one way. When participating in learning groups, sometimes students need to be able to hear their computer while other groups are working on varying tasks. This will help with eliminating distractions around them and focusing in on what is important at that time.

When learning at home, there are even more distractions that could make it difficult for a student to hear the lesson.

These headphones will help when and if students are participating from a distance.

Last year, none of my students had their own pair of headphones which made some tasks more difficult both in-person and from home. Getting these headphones will ensure that each student is prepared in either situation.
