My Students

My students come ready to learn, and I try to accommodate in an entertaining way. We have a school of "go-getters​" and that is no exception in my classroom. We have created a safe atmosphere together and the students feel comfortable asking for help and clarification so that they can be successful. I sometimes feel I am lacking a few of the materials to help all of them when lessons are a bit more complex.

They thrive while getting to use technology, as the programs we use accommodate to their level.

It gives them some extra help that may be needed or pushes them to a higher level. I am striving to make this time more efficient for their benefit so that we can get even further to reach their goals.

My Project

Our school has the great blessing of having a lot of technology to help prepare our students for the future. Sometimes 25 computers doing their own individualized reading program can be a lot of distracting noise. Headphones are a must to help bring the volume of the classroom noise down. Help me get headphones for those students who are unable to provide them on their own. These headphones will allow them to focus on their own computer and not be distracted by the other devices that are around them. In the event that we do have to learn from home this year, the headphones will be a nice resource for parents to check out if needed.

Notebooks are also a good supply that we use often in the classroom.

It will allow all students to have the same color notebook to avoid confusion and be a central location to keep the information for our core units.
