My Students

My third grade students are from a rural area with parents that are hardworking and involved in their child's education. The area is surrounded by farming land and on any given night you will hear the cheers from some type of game going on at the local ball field.

The students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions.

They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges which allow them to be creative and think outside of the box.

They come to school each day energetic and ready to learn new things. They are fearless when it comes to technology and would enjoy tools to help engage and communicate with the world around them.

My Project

Help me give my students an opportunity to have a voice and be heard in our classroom each day.

I have the privilege each day of teaching third graders in Pace, FL.

They arrive each day energetic with minds that are constantly thinking, creative minds and they are ready to learn.

Most of the students at our school are on free or reduced price lunch because we are a Title I school. However, they still arrive with an excitement for learning waiting to see what the day will bring.

My students are taught a variety of subjects in my classroom. Of course, we have the norms like Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. But within each of these subjects, there are opportunities for students to share ideas or present projects. However, many students will speak in an extremely quiet voice. They NEED to be HEARD because they have amazing ideas to share but they struggle to speak loud enough.

The items I am requesting will allow each student a voice in our classroom. It will give them a greater sense of importance because they will be heard. The throwable microphone will be an amazing tool when students are responding to questions and the lapel mic will be helpful so that students can better hear me or use during their presentations. YES, I CAN HEAR YOU if you will please consider funding our classroom.
