Help me give my students a Qball microphone so that all students can easily hear each other talking in class and become actively involved in the lesson.
My fifth-grade classroom is a place of Science, Social Studies, exploring, and learning. Each day is a new exciting day in my 5th-grade classroom. I believe everyone has a different way of learning, and I love to provide my students with many different tools and resources so they can be successful. Our school houses students with hearing impairments in the area so I try to provide the best resources to accommodate their needs as well.
Our school is near a military base, so we are blessed to have a good majority of our children be dependents of active service members.
Our neighborhood is very supportive of our school and our needs. We are so very blessed! Our school is just a few miles from a Cyber Innovation Center... so teaching these kids how to use technology is giving them real career-based skills that can help them stay and become amazing citizens of our city.
My Project
The QBall throwable microphone will be an amazing addition to my classroom. I would love to have a traveling microphone so that I can hear all of my students, and they can easily hear each other. This Qball microphone would give my students the ability to have their voice projected louder for all of their peers to hear them. I have students with hearing disabilities that have a hard time hearing other students in the class speaking. I teach fifth grade Science and Social Studies so the majority of my class time involves discussions and group work. This tool would be so beneficial to these students. It would project the students' voices over the speaker system in the classroom! I believe this Qball will also motivate students to participate in class because it is a fun classroom tool. Students can throw the microphone from one student to the next. It will engage all students in the discussion. This is a fun new learning tool that can enhance my students' learning experience.
