My Students

The school I work in is in a high poverty area. The school itself allows for the scholars to have ample opportunities with technology. My class is an Intergrated Co-teaching (ICT) classroom. There are 11 special education students and 13 general education students. One thing they all have in common is their love of technology especially when it has to do with computers. Their enthusiasm for using technology is evident when they come up to us to show us how they did on their game.

My Project

My students are required to complete a set amount of time on three different websites every week. It has been very challenging to complete the assignments when there are 5 or more computers talking at the same time. My poor students get so frustrated. The data that we gather from these websites are skewed. Since I have quite of few readers who are below grade level, they cannot read the directions. The programs in question have an option that reads the directions to the students. These headphones will help the scholars hear the instructions so that they can accurately complete the task at hand.
