We are a diverse school with a VOICE!! My job as instructional technology integrator is to give students the tools to express their voice. Students are from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic situations and could use all the help they could get.
Our students deserve a chance to thrive and be able to experience the same educational experiences as neighboring students.
Our school not only features tremendous diversity, but also a large amount of students that receive free and reduced lunch. Too often, students in this category are overlooked - NO MORE! I will give these students the platform to have their incredible stories heard.
My Project
It is so important that all students have their voices heard! By providing our students with basic audio equipment, they can publish themselves to an authentic audience, and be heard! I have worked with some students this past year on podcasting projects using the built-in microphone on a Chromebook. This gift will allow more students to record at the same time, and share themselves beyond the walls of the classroom.

In allowing students the opportunity to have their voice heard, I have seen more interest and engagement with a greater number of students. I owe it to them - they deserve this opportunity!
