Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Here at our school, we have over 500 students. We are a Title I school, which means that our students come from lower-income households.

I am the music teacher, which means I get to teach every student in the building.

My students love to come to music to sing, dance, play instruments, and, most importantly, learn! They love to be creative by adding accompaniments to songs they know as well as by creating music of their very own. I love being their teacher!

My Project

My students love to perform on stage, and we need a new musical to put on stage. "Dig It" would be a great musical for my students. It's a neat little show about two archaeologists who go back in time. I know that my students will love learning the catchy songs in the show, and I love that it will teach them a bit about history as they are learning the songs. They not only need the music for the show, but they could also use some costumes. These explorer costumes will be excellent additions to the show.

This musical will be a great way for my students to show off their talents on stage.

I know that this will be a show that they will love.
