My Project

My third grade, low-income, classroom in needs your help. We want to have fun practicing math!

Do you like playing games?

My students do as well. They get tired of completing worksheets to practice the math skills they learn each day.

"What's next?" they ask. "Oh, wait another worksheet, right?"

"Nope. Not today."

With your help that is what I can say!

Math games are a creative way for my students to practice their skills, while also engaging them in a more entertaining fashion. Having a collection of games will benefit the students year round. They will be able to play the game when the concept is first learned, and then throughout the whole year to enforce the math concepts. Some Math concepts that out classroom needs games for are: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, and Fractions.

By your contribution to this project, third grade students at our school (and many more students to come in following years) will have an entertaining, yet challenging way to practice their math skills. These games will give them an additional way to practice the skills learned, besides the traditional paper and pencil technique. They will love it!
