Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love to see my students engage even if many of them don’t have the means to. Making phone calls, answering questions over the phone or virtual it’s a learning experience for themselves as well as for me. They encourage each other to log on and do their work. Whether they’re on the school laptops or on their parents’ cell phones when parents get home, we are working together. They know my time is open to them at any time.

My Project

During this pandemic, it has been very difficult to teach with very limited materials. With the help of a document camera, it would allow me to show my students the math and science activities that I would be teaching for the day. I would be able to record lessons so my students can see as they are doing their work. The dry erase easel can be used to demonstrate a math problem as we work it out together. Having these tools can enhance my students’ learning as we get through this pandemic.
