Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am writing this proposal for my students who participate in our music program. Our elementary school serves a large urban area and has a high percentage of students from low-income homes. Our student body is culturally diverse and provides our school community an opportunity to experience languages and customs from many cultures as we interact every day.
Many of my students do not have the opportunity to explore and experience high-quality music instruction outside of the school setting.
It is exciting to see them grow in their knowledge and excitement of music. Many of our students will continue their participation in music at the high school level.
The set of 1,000 button parts includes individual transparent covers, front, and back parts that are used to press great professional looking buttons. These buttons will be used to encourage students to reach higher levels of music understanding and performance.
Children who perform music often take risks as they demonstrate and perform for others. These small tokens of gratitude and encouragement will help my students remember the high-quality music experiences that they participated in during their year of music learning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
