My Project
Students’ basic needs must be met before they can learn deeply. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a model for understanding the motivations for human behavior. This hierarchy ranges from more concrete needs such as food and water to abstract concepts such as self-fulfillment. According to Maslow, when a lower need is met, the next need on the hierarchy becomes our focus of attention.
This is the reality of working in a Title One school.
Our students often come to school hungry, unable to focus and anxiously waiting for lunch. Please support the our students with healthy snacks throughout the school day so they are better able to focus on their education and make the academic gains we know they are capable of.
