My Students

I have a great group of sixth grade students with a variety of needs and abilities. My students work incredibly hard to achieve success. They thrive when given hands-on activities, color, and movement. We may be the smallest middle school in our county but we make up for it in school spirit and pride for our community. My students need support to thrive but I know they can do anything they put their minds to!

I am proud to be a teacher at our school.

My Project

Pencils and dry erase markers are used daily by my students in the classroom. Due to our high poverty rate, students do not have the supplies they need to be successful. In my classroom I refuse to start a child's day off with consequences before the first assignment can be started.

Pencils and markers are not barriers in my classroom.

I spend my own money regularly purchasing boxes of pencils to remove this simple barrier to work completion. While this seems like such a basic request my classroom cannot function without theses tools. My students and I truly appreciate your consideration to support our classroom.
