Help me give my students Carolina Investigations AP Environmental Science: Agriculture and feeding a growing human population kit, along with other essential soil and garden supplies so that they can start and study their own garden on campus.
In this project, students will use the soil samples and AP learning kits to understand the properties of soil, how they interact within our environment, and how soil health relates to food production. Students will use the Agriculture kit to understand the energy and resources it takes to produce food in comparison to the amount of people it can feed.
Students will then implement their knowledge to plan, plot, and grow their own campus garden, using the drip irrigation kit, trellis netting, seed starters, soil testing kit, seeds, and soil.
Stickers will be used as daily incentives and to boost morale.
