My Project

Purposeful play is an integral part of early childhood education. It provides opportunities for students to practice social emotional and self-regulation skills. It honors childhood and brings joy to the classroom for teachers and students. It meets students where they are and supports growth.

A camping imagination area will allow students to explore the important conservation practices to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

It will create opportunities to build common background knowledge of the climate and environment of the great outdoors while in the classroom. This will be a great way for the students to celebrate Earth Day during the month of April.

I believe that this play camping experience using toys such as a play camp stove and tent will produce happy, cooperative children who are inspired to explore the great outdoors and follow practices that help conserve our natural resources.
