Camp Read-A-Lot!

My Project

My little readers are always looking for new and exciting books to read in the classroom. We have a lot of fun books, but most are higher than their reading level. I would love to add some holiday-specific and themed books to our classroom library.

These books are all around the theme of camping to go along with our first grade Camp Read-A-Lot day!

All of first grade will read specific camping themed books the week leading up to Camp Read-A-Lot. Then, on that fun day, first grade will do station rotations where we will be doing different activities that relate back to the camping themed books we have read. This will engage our students in reading along with other subject areas throughout the day. We are so excited to begin our Camp Read-A-Lot!
