My Project

South Carolina passed a law beginning this year forbidding cellphones within schools. My students have - on occasion - used their phones to take photos for their projects, games, and/or digital presentations. We had an ice-breaker that required students to create settings with magnatiles and then create characters that had a story through the multiple settings within the students' group. It was incredibly difficult to take the pictures using their Chromebooks with only one camera on the inside. They had to turn their device around, have someone angle it correctly and hit the capture button on their camera app. The photos were not very good quality. This distracted from the quality of their presentations when their classmates were shown their images.

I would like to have a class set of cameras that will allow students to take high-quality images - preventing low-quality presentations.

Later in the semester, I would love to have a digital scavenger hunt. These cameras would be essential.
