My Students

The photo program began this year and it has been a success! The kids have been learning on point and shoot cameras and need better cameras to help them grow as artists.

I work with a dynamic group of kids in a small school of approximately 380 students that are from many cultural and ethic backgrounds.

The majority of our students are of Asian/Pacific Islander and Hispanic decent and 81.5% of our students are on the Free and Reduced Meal Program. Today's tough economic conditions make it difficult for our school to meet the needs of our kids without help from people like you.

My Project

These two DSLR cameras will give my students the opportunity to further their learning in photography while giving them the materials needed to express themselves artistically. I want to give them a real experience and the point and shoot cameras are not high quality enough for my advanced students.

This project will impact the students' lives at school and fuel their passion for the arts.

It will introduce the students to equipment that they have never used and are extremely curious about learning. Their photos will be better with these high-quality cameras.
