Hi Donors, and welcome to my request! First, let me tell you about my students. I work with 46 brilliant learners each and every week. These students are in grades 3- 5, and they are in my gifted and talented classroom. My students are so loving, kind, and sweet. They love learning, and they love each other.
They are exceptionally witty, unique, creative, and bright.
Every day I learn from them! They make me laugh, and they make me want to be the best teacher I can be! I am so lucky to teach these students each week!
My Project
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and we believe that is true! When our students look back at their yearbooks, the pictures will tell it all! Right now we just don't have enough cameras to take the pictures we need. Our student yearbook team is ready to go, but with only a few cameras between the students and the teachers, taking quality pictures is super hard!
My students are ready to be creative and help create the best yearbooks our school has ever seen!
They want to learn the art of photography, and then go out and help teach other students and teachers what they know. They are so excited to be helping with the yearbook design, but without the equipment, it isn't going to happen! We desperately need your help. Our plan is to integrate photography into our lessons in as many ways as possible. We even plan to do a "Life Through The Eyes of Children" project in which the students use photography to share about their life. Once the students have mastered taking pictures, they are then going to go out and teach other students and teachers what they learned. It will be a teaching community with the students as teachers and the teachers as students! It is going to be awesome! Then, we will all work together to create the best yearbooks our school has ever seen!
