My students need to experience hands-on, inquiry based lessons regarding the anatomies and dissection of frogs such as a Bio-Kit, double injection pail and student manuals.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Gosney's classroom raised $345

My Students
The observation of animal life and reading about how animals operate in the food chain is not enough for today's learners. Students need to get their hands into discovery mode. What better way to do this than to dissect frogs! Certainly the "Ick" factor is appealing for many students plus they learn.
My school is one of many schools in Arizona who lack the day-to-day funds to properly teach our students.
When I came to the school, I opened my cupboards to empty supplies; none for science or any classroom operation. Please make my dream come true for a great experience with these science opportunities for life science. I believe in hands-on, inquiry based science. What better way than to "kiss a frog prince" and then dissect him? I use humor a lot in my class! Let's explore the anatomy of a frog. My students will be able to see the similarities and differences in the human anatomy and frog anatomy.
My Project
The students will be using hands-on, inquiry based learning with the frog dissection unit using an injection pail, BioKit and student manuals. It's a form of CSI investigation with the autopsy of a frog. The dissection of the frogs will enable students to compare the frog's anatomy with a human anatomy. Science can be messy but these kits make it wonderfully messy! Help me please make this possible!
These donations will open the world of life science to my students.
Pictures, videos, and books are great, but hands-on makes it real. Making it a hands-on activity, enables the students to discover for themselves what the frog's anatomy is all about. The dissection of frogs gives the students a real context of body anatomy and how the frog's anatomy differs from our own human anatomy. Our students will remember these experiences forever!
