Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with an amazing group of high school students with special needs. They love to learn and work so hard every day. They bring so much joy to my life, that I want to do the same for them.
I want to create a calming space for them so that they have a safe space to go to when they need a break, when they want or need to relax, or want to feel more calm.
Calming spaces are essential to student success and overall wellness. They should be welcoming and bring joy students. These couch-like seats will give them a sense of being at home or at the library. They will enjoy these comfortable seats whenever they need them. They are perfect for my growing students. They will be so happy to be able to sit with their friends during brain breaks.
