Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students attend an urban public school with over 730 children. Ninety-six percent receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students come from diverse backgrounds, but when we are in the classroom, we work together as one. They are very eager to learn, and they deserve the best of the best!
My students are happy, motivated, kind, and energetic!
They are wonderful, kind, and sweet children. Despite the challenges my students face, they come from homes that support them and want to help them succeed. Some of my students are struggling with reading and simply need some extra resources to help them learn.
Headphones will help my first grade students with some of their individual learning time. Next week, I have been given the opportunity to help with tutoring after school classes. The headphone will help with my small group in rotating it for noise cancelation and focus on reading. Students will take turns. The headphones would help keep them engaged on what they are doing.
The snacks that are being requested and will be used to give them something to eat during the day. Many times throughout the day, students get hungry.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
