My Students

I work in a diverse, urban neighborhood school. The students I work with come from a variety of home environments. I provided special education services to our school's upper elementary students.

I work with students who struggle academically.

My students have varying learning and behavioral disabilities. I enjoy filling my classroom with an abundance of resources to help them succeed.

I love my role as an Instructional Strategist because I am able to provide my students with all of the tools and strategies they need to be successful, not only in the classroom but also in life.

My Project

The social and emotional learning resources will provide my students with activities that they can do to manage their behaviors, as well as teach them strategies that they can use to help self regulate themselves in a situation. The tools will be used as a strategy for calming down. The books will enhance the learning of the social and emotional activities that the students will be learning about in the classroom. Having the resources, tools, and books to provide my students with the learning opportunity will make a huge difference in their social and emotional learning. Learning self-regulation strategies is a life long skill that they will need to be successful citizens of our society.
