it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a school therapist at an LAUSD school and am seeking help to purchase a rug for students who come in for counseling services or crisis intervention support to use the rug for students as a calming down space. Using this rug along with other items, not in this project, such as a sound machine, soft pillows and bean bags will help create an area where students can self-soothe and regulate their mood by grabbing some fidget items or reading some books while they sit on the rug with the other items to promote a relaxing cozy corner.
