My second-grade classroom is full of bright, curious, and energetic learners who thrive when their sensory needs are met. Many of my students benefit from sensory supports to help them stay focused, regulate emotions, and feel calm throughout the day.
I am requesting a variety of sensory tools such as fidget items, weighted stuffies, and squishies.
These tools will help students who struggle with attention, anxiety, or sensory processing to better engage with learning. Whether it’s squeezing a stress ball during a reading lesson or using a holding a weighted stuffy on their lap during writing time, these items will provide students with safe, effective ways to manage their energy and emotions.
