This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the social worker, my space is important for the students. Counseling offices are as important as classrooms. Our students depend on having a supportive environment and calming safe space. I want to create a space where students feel comfortable and calm when dealing with stressors that can affect their day and learning. This room will provide a space for students to feel at ease and also be able to express themselves. How our space feels and looks, allows our students to feel open to communicating better. Help me give my students these beanbag chairs, an area rug, some calming pups to use while in sessions, and other items they can use. Thank you for contributing to my wellness and mindfulness space.
