Help me give my students a calming corner this year, to include books, several sensory items along with weighted items and a new pencil sharpener because ours broke!
Students have lots of emotions and they are still learning to regulate them. With your help, my students can have a safe designated space where they can regulate their emotions and provide an opportunity and an outlet for the chance to calm themselves down. There are lots of things that can be overstimulating for students in a classroom. Sometimes students need a break to focus and calm down. With A Little SPOT of Emotion Box Set, Weighted Stuffed Animals, Magnetic Tiles and other items I have listed, students will have a chance to channel their emotions through different tactile and weighted items. Students will I’ll also have social emotional learning books to read during this time as well. This will be great for them to identify their feelings. Thank you so much for all your support!
