This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are currently working on creating a calming corner for our students in each of our classrooms. I want to provide my student a space where they can go and take a break when needed. It will give students an opportunity to regulate their emotions and find ways to feel better physically and emotionally. This space will also give students time for reflection on how they can be successful for the rest of the day. Finding ways to regulate their emotions will eventually help students be successful with their academics. If they are in the right mindset, then they can be productive.
