Help me give my students cartoon dolls, puppet stands, and sensory bottles to complete our Calming Corner and help our students learn about the different emotions they have and how to regulate them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help give my classroom the materials we need to transform a space in our classroom into a calm-down corner. This corner will help students calm down and relax if they are feeling overwhelmed, sad, or frustrated. Students will also use this area to sit in if they need a quiet minute or want to remain calm and happy. Providing a calm-down corner will allow our students to learn about the different emotions they have and how to regulate them. We will use the fidgets and puppets to help students who have trouble focusing, help keep their attention on the lesson.
