This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am honored to be a teacher of 7 exceptional students who are learning and thriving daily. They all are making significant progress toward their learning goals. I hope to provide them with a calming center that is productive and appropriate for their developmental level with a weighted blanket, cuddle ball, play tent, sensory bottles and more that is appropriate for their development! There are times throughout the day when students may feel overwhelmed with outside sensory stimuli or sensory experiences that happen inside the classroom. Students need a place to deescalate from it and release anxiety. Thank you for allowing me to provide this experience for my students.
