My Project

The goal of having a calming corner in my class is to create a safe space where students can go and manage their emotions when needed. The corner will have hands-on materials for students to use if they need a simple brain break, posters to help identify and deal with strong emotions, and a calming atmosphere with soft lighting.

Social and emotional learning is vital, and students need to be taught how to understand their emotions and learn techniques to deal with them.

The calming corner will be something that all students can use, and something that will grow based on their specific needs.
