This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students live in an underserved community where they witness and experience emotional challenges.

Creating a calming corner to help my current and future students to learn how to regulate their emotions is a beneficial life skill.

One practice that has positive results is expressing their emotions through art. This is why these art therapy supplies are so beneficial to have at hand.

Another method students can practice regulating their emotions is reading books such as A Little Spot book collection and sensory tools that can bring calm to them.
