This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are excited about school most of the time. But sometimes they need help overcoming challenges that they might encounter at home and at school. Help give my students a cozy place to relax, solve problems with peers, and to Stop and Think before they Act. Some students come to school sleepy, upset and are not ready to learn. This area will serve as a focal point to help them work through some of their challenges and manage their emotions.
With the help of the post cards, students will be able to express their feelings to their family members and their peers.
Saying sorry is an important skill for students to learn and sometimes it’s easier to write it down for them.
The pinwheels will help students practice deep breathing to help manage their emotions and change their moods. This is an important skill to learn that will help them throughout their lives.
