My Project

I am a teacher to an amazing class of fourth graders in the Los Angeles area. My students come from a low socioeconomic status and I know how difficult it was for my students and families to learn during the pandemic. My students' mental well-being has had an impact on learning and I would like to create a calming corner to cope with daily stress.

In our calming corner, wobble chairs will help students to relax from all their hard work.

I requested a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card and I would love to be able to order lessons and posters to provide calming coping skills such as breathing exercises and reading positive books written by authors from different cultures. I would also love the opportunity to gift my students wobble chairs to support the calming corner. The wobble chairs will help students take a break and practice mindfulness strategies. Also, the wobble chairs would provide a lot of joy for students who just want to move around in class. Please help support our calming corner as students' mental health is vital as we are still suffering trauma from the pandemic. I would love for this project to become a reality with your help. Thank you!
