My Project
My students have been through a lot in the past 5 years. They have come through natural disasters, COVID-19, and unstable households. Now that we are on a more stable path at school, I would like to provide a learning environment that also supports learning to calm oneself through constructive play.
The calming corner will house constructive manipulatives for calm play and building critical thinking.
This will provide a space for those who get overwhelmed and need to calm down quietly. Please help me support my students by giving them a safe calming area when overwhelmed. This area also supports building relationships positively, as well as critical thinking that supports expanding their engineering capabilities.
