This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We currently have bright, fluorescent lighting in our classroom. Many times students complain of headaches or that the lights are too bright. We have one lamp right now, but with all the lights turned off, it is just too dark.
Different lighting affects learning and behavior.
By adding lamps and LED lights, we can turn down our fluorescent lighting and have a more relaxed, calming room. This lighting also has to potential to improve academic achievement. Research has also suggested that cool lighting can help improve those with ADHD and focus.
