Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 4 year old students will learn to build community within the classroom and to respect and honor one another's emotions and feelings. I am requesting listening center headphones, trace write number and alphabet center, calming colors beanbag seats, classroom calming kit and more! Students can draw, breathe, and engage in other mindful activities while taking the time to de-escalate before rejoining classroom learning. This provides students the opportunity to regain composure and problem solving skills. Students will have fun in a quiet setting while calming down. My little students come from a low income household that need extra manipulatives and support to deal with home situations that are out of control.
