My Project

This project is to help me prepare a calming room. This is one of several smaller projects as I develop our new program at our school. This is a school-wide initiative where every student will be in my classroom throughout the school year. Therefore I want to meet the needs of every classroom.

This project will help keep our classroom aquarium functioning as it offers a great calming atmosphere for my students who need a calming space to be able to focus and be productive.

Many students often struggle with attention and focus. Our classroom aquarium offers a calming relaxing atmosphere to assist each of them. This project will offer supplies such as material for a lid to replace the broken classroom aquarium lid to help keep the fish healthy and tools to help clean and maintain the aquarium as well. These students will be able to not only use the aquarium as a source that will calm them but also they will have the opportunity to maintain the tank to work on life skills such as teamwork & patience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
