This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The need for a calming corner is to allow my students to have a safe space to calm their bodies. This corner will also provide a space for the students to cope with their emotional needs.
This area will be full of manipulatives, books, sensory, and sorting activities with the goal to help them control or manage their feelings and find comfort.
These are Little people with BIG feelings! This calming area will help to calm my students with and without disabilities throughout their day. This little corner will go along way.
