Help me give my students liquid floor tiles, sensory materials, beanbag seats, and other resources for a cozy, comfy space to calm down with soft seating and a variety of sensory toys they can use to address their needs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All the students in my class are experiencing school for the first time. Many are experiencing social-emotional needs this pace can be used to addressed. They range in age from 3 to 4 years old and need to self-regulation skills. All of my students have varying exceptional needs which can be addressed in a variety of ways using a variety of materials.
The floor tiles, sensory set, beanbag seats, cuddle ball, shapes, bean bags, and other materials for this project will help my students find a variety of ways to calm down and develop ways to self-regulate their emotions.
This project allows students to determine the materials they want to use to help feel better and be able to return to their learning pace with their classmates. Developing self-regulations skills is important because they will need to use these skills throughout the rest of their lives.
