Help me give my students a Quiet Time Privacy Cube, feelings and emotions washable dolls, and other items to have a calming corner, to offer a space for tranquility and peacefulness.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Mejia's classroom raised $989

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The calming area will be a place where students can go to find quiet and peace and re-center themselves after having strong emotions. They can use the Quiet Time Privacy Cube and dolls to help them identify their strong feelings.
They can use the Quiet Time Privacy Cube, sensory toys and Lakeshore playdoh to help them calm, while using their senses to redirect their attention and be able to express themselves by gently squeezing or observing sensory toys.
When they are calm they can further express themselves with dough and art, and interact in a positive way with the child they had conflict with, or a good friend they want to express their emotions with.
