Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each of my students are unique and they are eager to learn. The materials that I chose for this project are important so that I can create a space within the classroom for students to be able to clear their minds and refocus.

By donating to our project you will be helping my 4th Grade students to have a safe place within the classroom to calm down.

With a mindful Calming Area, along with the books, feeling charts, sensory learning toys and other materials , we can ensure that we attend to children's socio-emotional needs and we can build our strategies when faced with strong feelings and emotions.

All my students will benefit from the calming area; it will help them to identify and process their emotions, take a calming break, and be better able to regulate their emotions. A calming area will provide my students with the resources they need to reflect on their feelings and develop their social-emotional well-being.
