Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have middle school students from 6th to 8th grade. I have students with specific learning disabilities and other health impairments. My students always try their best and constantly reach their academic and behavior goals.
At times they can get overwhelmed in the classroom and need an area to go to calm down.
They often take breaks when needed. This calming corner will be able to help my students take a break and relax in an area made just for them.
My students like to challenge themselves and learn new things. I want to reward them with this area that is just for them. I want them to be able to enjoy being in the classroom, whether they are completing their assignments or taking breaks in the calming corner.
