This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We sometimes feel overwhelmed or stressed out. We have developed strategies to deal with our feelings. Children also need the time to develop appropriate ways to deal with their feelings. Breathing activities, in a quiet place can help develop these skills.
Help me create a calming area so my students have a safe space to reset.
The Calming Area is a positive space that rewards students for keeping their emotions in check and using strategies to calm themselves. Also provides a safe space for students when they need to reset their emotions. My goal is to increase student achievement in a holistic manner.
The supplies I am requesting are to help me provide my students with a place where they can feel calm and regulate their emotions when they can become overwhelmed. By donating to my project, you will be helping my students with a space to be able to talk about their feelings and learn healthy ways to cope at school and transfer that knowledge to their day-to-day life.
