This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an amazing group of students. I am hoping to get some comfortable chairs and a rug to use for a calming corner. Children go through many emotions some which they may not know how to deal with. Providing a calming corner will provide tools for students to understand their feelings. I also would used the calming corner for those students who need a brain break. I already have books, sensory tools and posters to make this a welcoming space for my students. I am only missing the chairs and rug.
