Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are caring, thoughtful, and hard workers. They are learning how to understand emotions and how to help them. However, there have been occasions when my students need to decompress.

The calming corner will allow students to practice regulating their emotions, and they will be able to request a break when needed.

This calming area will provide my students with calming posters that they can read and look at as they relax. The floor lounger and beanbags will give them a place to lie or sit as they calm down. They will also be able to read the calming books located in the corner while sitting on a cozy rug. This calming area will help my students take frequent mental breaks and provide them with a safe place to understand their emotions.
